Irishman Sean Flanagan began his food career working in Michellen-star restaurants in London before meeting his Australian wife, Sarah Peatfield. The duo now own and operate Wildgrain on the Mornington Peninsula. A restaurant with a paddock-to-plate ethos, with the majority of produce being organically grown by Sean himself.

Sarah, a Polish Jew, first discovered Tibetan Buddhism the same year she went to live in the Kimberley to teach in the Noonkanbah remote community. The women and girls in the community would gather native water lilies, that grew in billabongs, for their roots and stems to eat.
